Sewage Pump Station Refurbishment - inc. Installing 1km of Rising Main

AGH Contract Services secured the contract with AMEYs to  carry out a refurbishment to a sewage pumping station & to install 1km of rising main at a site in Weston Lullingfields, Shrewsbury.

The scope of work included:

  • Excavate for 1km of 75mm rising main - inc. Reinstatement of the arable land, any land drains and hedging/fencing
  • Make connections at existing valve chamber
  • Make connections at discharge point. (inc. break chamber and approx. 6m of gravity into lane)
  • Install replacement 11kw pumps and associated control panel, inc. installation of flow meter
  • New wet well and valve chamber cover slabs c/w defender access covers and lifiting davit's. Reduce existing chamber rings to ensure cover slab is at ground level
  • Construct flow meter chamber
  • Temporary over-pumping to include temporary sump chamber to be benched accordingly to form new inspection chamber
  • Provided secure cabinet for access rails. (Handrails)
  • Ecological survey
